I had the privilege of spending the Summer of 2016 in the beautiful city of Copenhagen studying the process and culture of the rich Scandinavian furniture tradition under the teachings of some talented and insightful Danish cabinetmakers.
The culmination of these studies was the design and production of my own chair under some set material and proportion constraints. The results are the Rook chair, a ground-up reconsideration of the windsor rocker precedent. Rook is completely hand made using white maple wood and woven in black-finished Danish paper-cord.
